Brother-Lexicanium Elyas is tall (even by Astartes standards), hollow cheeked and entirely hairless, with a pale Aquila brand on each eyelid and a stark black hexagrammatic ward tattooed on his right cheek. His racial heritage appears to be (in 21st century terms) a blend of Caucasian and Native American.

He is never seen without his sword, which he usually keeps covered by a black silken cloth intricately embroidered with threads of red and green; this is “Spiral’s Edge”, an ancient force sword masterfully crafted in the style of a Dark Angels ceremonial sword, its hilt a glossy black and a red line running down the centre of its blade. The Corvus pattern power armour he wears beneath his hooded black robe has clearly endured millennia of conflict, for every inch of its surface bears the scars of countless battles; rather than being filled in or covered over these marks have been reverently worked into the armour’s finish and polished till they gleam, a testament to the valour of its former owners and the fortitude of its machine spirit. At his waist is affixed an orichalcum casket, engraved in minute detail with lines of devotional text and secured with purity seals, which contains his Imperial Tarot.

Though not infrequently distracted by things which others cannot see, when paying attention to this world he tends to display various shades of stoicism, suspicion, incredulity and disdain. The tone of his speech is often scathing, and though willing to talk at length on the Imperium’s history he will never discuss his own past or that of his Chapter.
